Testing out smudge-free lipstick


We got this brief at Ogilvy for the Channel 4 competition. Boots is trying to change its image to a more modern, feminist approach, and we were told to come up with a script that shows mature women in a non-stereotypical, empowered way.


Mature women feel very confident in their bodies and sexuality. However, they are never shown as sexually active in ads. Boots is the place to be for women who feel happy in their own skin.


Our script went all the way through to the client. They felt it was too risky, so it didn't get sent off to the competition.
